Nurse practitioner-led

Sustainable weight management.

Medically supervised support for sustainable weight loss and metabolic health, led by an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, with reviews to keep it on track.

Who this is for.

  • Adults in Australia who want medically supervised, sustainable weight management rather than another diet.
  • People with metabolic health concerns who want their history, pathology and lifestyle looked at together.
  • Anyone who has tried before and wants structured follow-up, not a one-off appointment.

Your practitioner considers your medical history, lifestyle, nutritional needs and goals. The approach may include evidence-based lifestyle interventions, nutrition, physical activity, behavioural strategies and, where clinically indicated, appropriate medical management.

How the program works.

Four steps, all by telehealth.

  1. 1

    Initial consultation, 30 minutes

Your history, goals, lifestyle and suitability, with an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner.

  2. 2

    Investigations where indicated

Pathology through Australian Clinical Labs when it will change the plan, never by default.

  3. 3

    Your plan

Realistic goals and a written plan covering nutrition, activity, behavioural strategies and, where clinically indicated, medical management.

  4. 4

    Reviews, 15 minutes

Progress, barriers and adjustments, at the intervals that suit your plan.

Requests go to Australian Clinical Labs. Attend any approved collection centre, and results return securely to your practitioner, who reviews them and explains what they mean.

Prescriptions

Where a practitioner assesses treatment as safe and clinically suitable, an electronic prescription is sent to your phone or your nominated pharmacy. No treatment is guaranteed.

Follow-up

Review consultations are part of every program. Administrative questions are answered within one business day, and clinical questions go to your practitioner.

Questions, answered plainly.

Where is Aevum available?
Australia-wide. Aevum Bio Clinic is a telehealth clinic: every consultation is by secure video with an Australian, Ahpra-registered practitioner, so you can be seen from anywhere in Australia. Pathology is collected at any Australian Clinical Labs approved centre near you. Aevum sees adults aged 18 and over who are located in Australia at the time of their consultation.
Will I be prescribed medication?
Only an authorised practitioner can decide that, after an appropriate clinical assessment, and only where treatment is considered safe and clinically suitable for you and within their scope of practice. Aevum does not guarantee that any particular medication or treatment will be prescribed.
How often are reviews?
That depends on your plan. Reviews are 15 minutes and are booked at the intervals your practitioner recommends, so progress is monitored and the plan adjusts as you go.
Do I need pathology?
Only where it is clinically indicated. If it is, the request goes to Australian Clinical Labs and results return securely to your practitioner. External pathology costs are separate.
What does the $90 coordination fee cover?
Where a treatment is prescribed, the Medication Order Administration and Coordination Fee covers the clinic’s work coordinating your order with the pharmacy. It is a separate transactional item, not a consultation price, and pharmacy costs are separate again.

Important information

Weight management at Aevum is led by an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner. All care is individualised. Recommendations regarding investigations, medication, treatment or referral are based on your circumstances, clinical assessment and the authorised scope of practice of the treating practitioner.

Participation does not guarantee a particular outcome. Individual circumstances and results vary. Consultation fees cover only the Aevum services listed. External pathology, medication, pharmacy costs and the Medication Order Administration and Coordination Fee are separate.
